How to apply for an open burn vegetative waste permit
- Select and download the permit application as Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word format from the list below:
- Complete the form and print the application
- Sign the "Applicant's Signature" Section ( must be hand written )
- Deliver the application to the Waynesville Fire District for approval - directions here

How to apply for a Home Owner's Burn Permit by phone
- To obtain a burn permit you must call the Waynesville Rural Fire Protection District (573)-774-5449
- We require the following:
- - Your name
- - Phone number
- - Address
- The fire must be attended by an adult at all times.
- If the fire is left unattended, your permit will be revoked and the fire extinguished.
- Burn hours are from 7:00 a.m. until dark. All fire must be extinguished at dark.
- This is a 1 day permit, if you need to burn again, you must call again.
